Set up crap

Greetings all,

There are a few things im still trying to get going for this site before we actully give this thingy a shot. Primally i'll be adding to the world information area in bits and peices when i get things fleshed out and write them down (maps, countries, etc). First priority though is going to be ironing out the exalted/besm mesh that we will be using (thinking of calling it exaltism). Also going to try and set up a character sheet that you guys can fill out on the forums, or some sort of digital representation of it.

For now feel free to create characters to the best of your abilites and such not, and do any other weird psychotic changes that happen to some people when they get access to forums. If you have any questions about the world, game mechanics, availability of stuff, or other stuff feel free to set up a thread.

Also let me know if you have any recommendations for the site, especially if you have any good pictures for anything (buttons and crap too).

There is one recommendation for the site I can make. You see in any endeavor one is required to protect their assets in order to have them survive the assaults of time and enemy. But this place, this city or cities perhaps, is defenseless. Therefore there is only one solution.

Hello all,

Finally got my internet hooked up and ready to go out here. Took a bit longer than expected but construction struck again. How is everyone's character stuff coming? Is there any questions you have? I hope to try and get this under way in a bit so I'm hoping you all made some progress.

Yay! You're back, albeit my response is about a day late but whatever. On my front I'm doneish and Robles and I haven't worked on his character yet. No idea what everyone else is up to though.

Yeah basically nothing has changed since you left, guess we'll need to work on that.

I had hoped for more, but after seeing the character pages I know it is as you say. Alright basically if you would tell Robles that he kneeds to make his character, also tell those others too. I think Malcolm's is fairly well lined out already if not completed. Now that I am getting settled in here I would like to get this started or at least progressing.

Yeah, I was gonna wait till people at least their character sheets up and somewhat going to see how much rules and logistics questions before i started on my backstory and roleplaying rants. Since I have already approved your stuff go ahead and start though, let me know if you have any questions about setting stuff. Oh and you should use the phrase "BUILD MORE CHARACTER SHEETS!"

yeah, sorry I fail at uploading stuff. Besides I think my 3rd edition BESM book that i distributed had some picture issues in the pdf. If anyone has anything better feel free to distribute/upload that one. I think the exalted one still remains the same. Also there has been a fair amount of verbal explainations on this system pat. One of the other guys can help you out understanding how exactly things are working, or you can barrage me with questions. I still havent gotten a voip up yet or anything. Due to my rather bogged down state of affairs I dont know how many more of those long explaination thingys I'll be able to write, but I'll try my best.

My character is up for the most part, mainly missing the the backstory. I think I got all the numbers crunched right and whatnot. Since my more combat oriented stuff would be changing a lot due to flux, I figured I'd be posting what I use my power flux on at the bottom of each post. I'm gonna be intimately familiar with that weapon section of BESM by the end of this.

I'd have a character sheet, but for the lack of a book. Hopefully we will get it tonight from Malcom.
Seems I no longer have the site I used to use for hosting pictures... Might have helped in this situation.

Capnpat was the one who first showed us the d20 srd. No he means BESM 3rd and the exalted. Both of which I gave pdfs of to malcolm before I left, If you guys can get them and then host them that would probably be the best way. Also like I said the pictures in the BESM 3rd copy I gave malcolm is pretty annoying and covers up some text. It is workable to read beyond it but it was just poorly compiled. I didnt have a full version of adobe to fix that but the text is there. If someone else can find a copy thats better more power to you.

The exalted one should be fine. Although I pretty much said everything from exalted in the thread so reading that will probably just confuse you all.

Hey I've been busy, that's all. I'll be working with Victory to create my character tomorow night, I know what I want for starting abilities, just got to allot the points and pick a name.

Ok so clearly I need to learn how to image host so I can post the damn maps of the worlds I made. Hopefully someone on my cabinet, say my war advisor, can send me some info on image hosting. If left up to me to learn how this might take a while. Ive been very busy the last few days (poor excuse but hey things pop up).

After you host it they even provide the code for posting the images in forums, just copy and paste the provided links.

Hey there Mikhael, had a question about my particular character. Going over the specifics with Victory it seems that most of my focus would be in my alternate form attribute. So the question is: If the ranks that I put into alternate form are directly proportional to the stage that I will be in for energy use purposes? And if not, then would just one alternate for me enough, and through the stages process would I change my attributes ( my example here would be to go from a simple tree form, bashing people with my branches as say an evergreen, to my next stage be a more specific deciduous trees with bashing capabilities and ranged grenade-like attacks added on)?

Almost sounds like you want to use the attribute malcom used, the power flux one.

Almost, but the jury is still out on it so we're not sure which one were going for yet. Besides the main thing were trying to figure out is how you go from one stage to another, or rather what constitutes stage one as opposed to stage two in terms of game mechanics.

Honestly I wasn't the best person to help on this since I have been almost exclusively on how the runic magic system works.
